I recently found two monitors from Kogan, both 21:9 1080p, 35", freesync, and curved (another thing I've been dying to try), and both super cheap: $449 w/ 75hz refresh rate and 8ms response, the for $549 w/ 200Hz and 6ms response. Brightness at the monitor’s half-way point is more than bright enough for a fluorescent-lit room, and in direct daylight we only needed to turn it up to its factory default of 80. Similar screens we’ve had the pleasure of reviewing here at EFTM retail for anywhere between $1,500 and $3,500 – so to see Kogan with such a phenomenal product at such a reasonable price is a breath of fresh air. You may want to look at reviews for Viotek monitors - they're more common in the US and they usually use the same panel as Kogan. This smart laptop was enjoyable to use and great to work on – creating content was super simple.

It's a VA panel so there's going to be smearing, but I've never seen it in a game or anything. The bezel itself is two-tone with a brushed dark gunmetal below the glossy black, with a blue power LED. Having used normal sized monitors all of my life and reserving displays of this size to the lounge room, it’s a lot to get used to. I don't know man, I've got a shitty TN on my work laptop that's so bad that the viewing angle issue is noticeable between the top and bottom of the screen. Because look at this thing… it’s beautiful. Reproduction in whole or in part in any form or medium without express written permission of IDG Communications is prohibited. One dead pixel is too many dead pixels IMO. More posts from the bapcsalesaustralia community, Continue browsing in r/bapcsalesaustralia. Dont buy a VA panel, they're simply not good. However it gets even better – this week due to the Black Friday sales, the Kogan QLED 49” is on sale for $979.99.
For anyone looking into the ‘Super Ultrawide’ monitor market, this gem by Kogan has to make the shortlist. Close. We’re talking about a phenomenally high quality device that is almost addicting in nature.
35 per cent of professionals feel frustration due to bad audio. I don't regret buying it at all. I currently own the 3440x1440 34" 100hz ultrawide that they dropped a while ago (I believe it's now discontinued but replaced with a 75hz version?). There’s an eco setting to optimise the screen for text or gaming, and a dynamic contrast mode that seemingly only serves to massively boost contrast to blow out highlight detail. Only reason I could see someone getting a kogan monitor is if it's cheaper than the competition.
I always wonder if they made it rhyme with ‘bogan’ on purpose, I’d look at the AOC 24g2 for a few dollars more, So, Kogan also sold a similar monitor which was 1800R in curvature. Need to find a deal on a PC part of laptops in the Australian market?
First monitor came in with more dead pixels than I would have liked, had to RMA. The conversation normally begins with an expletive, followed by “That is incredible” and I have to agree, it’s a sight to behold.
I say you lose the benefits of TN and still dont look as good as IPS. Customer service made it a fairly painless process. Build quality around the rims of the panel are noticeably worse than other named brands but it is only noticeable when your looking for faults.
If anything, I’ve found myself toning down the brightness and utilizing red-light programs like f.lux as I game into the night – as the screen is just so bright and the colours so dynamic.
I have a 24" monitor myself and as of ~1.5 years ago i decided not to get a 27" 1440p monitor, i regret not getting the 27" but at the same time my monitor was such a significant upgrade over my ~6 year old budget monitor that i appreciate it none the less.

We measured it to be imperceptibly close to the Samsung SyncMaster S27A850T, which is our current favourite 27-inch LED monitor. It does have built-in features that the cheapest eBay-special 27-inch monitors lack, too, like an input scaler and a headphone jack (for audio carried over HDMI).
